Seven Years War

Prussians and their Allies

The Austrians and Allies are HERE.

Units are chosen by the colours of their facings or on the appearance of their flags. I'm making no attempt to build a historical order of battle and, as with the assignment of grenadier companies to their battalions and their carrying colours, will bend the "historical rules" for my own purposes. Further additions, as well as those mentioned in the text, will include troops from Hesse-Kassel (Gilsa and Mansbach Infantry), Bremen, Brunswick (Zastrow and Imhoff Infantry), Britain (1st Guards, the 4th, 11th, 17th and 20th Foot, 3rd Dragoon Guards and 4th Horse) and Hanover (Chausses/ Hardenberg Grenadiers, Halberstadt, Knesebeck and Saxe-Gotha Infantry, Grenadiere zu Pferde and Zeppelin Kürassiere).

Many of these photo's will eventually be replaced with "brigade" photo's, such as the one below of the grenadiers and 1/5th.

Planned totals- 21 Infantry battalions, 3 grenadier battalions, 2 light battalions- 1326 figures. 8 Heavy cavalry and 2 light cavalry squadrons- 278 figures. 8 batteries- 88 figures, 16 guns and limbers. 49 staff and escorts.

The 18/46 Grenadier battalion and 1/5 Infantry Regiment ("Jung" Braunschweig). I know the 18th and 46th grenadiers weren't combined to form a battalion and I know that the grenadiers didn't carry colours. Mine are and do.
