Description: The morning will consitst of a one hour class in Traditional tango from local tango teachers for those people wanting to give this very popular dance form a go, followed by a one hour concert of tango’s from the golden age of 1940 -1950. From 12-12:30 there will then be a chance to dance socially and enjoy the morning tea.

Event: "Courage to Love" Art Gallery Opening
Venue: Phillamore Street Studios, Fremantle

Description: Helen Norton left Broome, Australia in the year 2000 to reside on the island of Efate in Vanuatu with her tow sons to paint and write. She returned to Australia in 2003 and now lives and works from her studio on her farm in a beautiful green valley behind the Blackall Ranges in Queensland. This exhibition will be travelling to Fremantle WA. As the nature of Helen's work is narrative, there needs to be a consistency of the story kept in place. Some major originals have been sold and cannot be shown in Perth. The artist has agreed to release some of these works as Limited Editions Canvas Reproductions - which will keep the story complete. New works not seen in Sydney will be added to the Fremantle show.

"Tango" tells the story of Clarissa, a thirty something alpha-female who lies about her age, is rude to waiters and never apologises. But Clarissa has a secret. Something she thought she had put to rest is coming back to haunt her. Grappling with personal ethics and matters of the heart, Tango is a poignant, fast-moving black comedy.
