Topfield Time Overview See the above link for an explanation of the Topfield Time issues. ProgressBarKeys Manual Time Sync after Power Failure with Topfield switched on When the Topfield reboots after a power failure ProgressBarKeys will detect the time has been reset. If you have defined a time synchronisation timer then ProgressBarKeys will switch to the channel specified in the timer. ProgressBarKeys will automatically set the manual time to the current broadcast time after 30 seconds. ProgressBarKeys Manual Time Sync after Power Failure with Topfield in standby mode When you turn on the Topfield after a power failure ProgressBarKeys will detect the time has been reset. If you have defined a time synchronisation timer then ProgressBarKeys will switch to the channel specified in the timer. ProgressBarKeys will automatically set the manual time to the current broadcast time after 30 seconds. ProgressBarKeys Manual Time Sync via Menu When you select the Set Time menu option ProgressBarKeys sample the current broadcast time and set the manual time. ProgressBarKeys Scheduled Time Sync via Topfield Scheduled Timer If you create a Topfield scheduled timer with record set to off and a duration of 5 minutes ProgressBarKeys will automatically set the time whenever this timer runs. If the Topfield is in standby mode when the timer is scheduled to start it will wake up and perform the following steps. Change channel to the channel specified in the timer Set sleep to 10 minutes Wait 8 minutes and the set the time Sleep will switch the Topfield off after 10 minutes
If the Topfield does not return to standby after a time sync then this would indicate that the sleep key has been intercepted by another TAP. PBK will switch the Topfield to standby after a time sync if you remove all other TAP's. Once you have proved this to yourself you have to work out which TAP is intercepting the Sleep key. The PBK “Sleep Test” menu option may help find the TAP responsible. LittleClock is one TAP that may intercept the sleep key.
Time Control Menu Before using the Set Time Option you must enable manual time and set your time zone in the PBK Time Control Menu.

Daylight Savings Time
ProgressBarKeys
can automatically switch DST on and off.
For this
feature to work you must have a scheduled time sync set to run at the DST
changeover time. For example daily at 3am.
