Caring for the Australian environment Allstone Quarries recycles 20,000 ton of concrete annually, an amount which would otherwise end up as landfill.
This concrete and brick is stockpiled at the quarrys Eaglehawk site, awaiting the once a year crush from a mobile crushing plant.
The discarded concrete and brick is from contractors, demolition sites and the general public. So now when you rip up old gardens, paths and driveways, you know where to take the material for recycling.
The recycled product is used for road base, decorative products and domestic drainage, making good use of what was otherwise an environmental hazard.
