Online gallery of landscapes and seascapes in oils by Western Australian fine artist, Andy Dolphin.

Andy has had a long association with visual art in one form or another from custom vehicle art in the early '80s through signwriting, scenic art and commercial illustration. These days he's focused intently on his desire to produce fine art.

Andy's oil painting subjects range from rural landscapes to forests, seascapes and still life and the one thing that ties them all together is the play of light. He is particularly interested in the moody effects of morning or evening light on the landscape and sees each painting as a memory of a time and place.

A lot of works are painted "en plein air" while others are painted in the studio from on-site sketches and reference photos taken specifically for that purpose.
