Val   and her husband Jim  have been very active with the Hawthorn Artists Society . Jim has provided much valuable support towards studio maintenance. Val has co-ordinated the Tuesday self-help group of painters.  Val  began  as a water colour artist under the tuition of Patricia Winnett and has  more recently been attending Nathan Paramanathan's Friday painting class where she has been develping a modern approach to painting with oil and acrylics.  She is an excellent  team member.
