“Peak OIL”

Energy is the force that sustains life.

We as a society and as individuals are utterly dependant on it to sustain our lives. From our basic everyday needs such as food to fuel our bodies to fossil fuels that power our cars and light, heat, cool – entirely run our homes. It is the lifeblood of our existence.

Either directly or indirectly Oil is responsible for the lifestyles we have come to enjoy, in fact without it many of us would and will inevitably cease to exist. Energy derived from Oil is the driving force of western society, and with the trend of the world’s population becoming “westernised” the human species is consuming more than ever. Very soon (sooner than you might think) more oil is going to be being burnt than what can be pumped, refined and provide power to currently excessive societies. Then eventually we will simply run out.

Experts predict that between now and the next 15-20 years that world’s oil production will hit a “Peak” and then slowly decline whilst consumption will continue to grow. Don’t believe it? Do you think that there is a viable solution to smoothly replacing Oil with an alternative energy source available now? Is it an alternative that is ready to install and won’t require “Oil” to somehow aid in its implementation? It’s past time you were made aware and thoroughly informed on the matter. Oh and don’t be surprised if the questions you have, have already been answered.

This is not a case of whether it will or will not happen (Y2K or a killer comet); it’s a case of when and how bad we decide it will be. There is hard scientific data supporting this claim and the simplest logic could figure Oil is a finite resource. At the end of this article I will include websites and other pieces of literature which you can refer to containing much more in depth details, evidence and scientific data than can be provided from one source.

Please take the time to stop and think of what it would mean to your life if one day you go to re-gas your car and fuel costs more than you can afford. If technology does become available (hydrogen fuel cell cars, cheap efficient solar panelling) do you have money put aside to purchase it? Act now – it may already be too late.
