A Condition - You Must.....
be either very politically correct or incorrect
have a spooky or haunted building in your tale
be more than a little risque or suggestive (but not offensively so!)
have an ending in which evil is not defeated, but triumphs over good
tell this as a story for children
have a main character who owns an elephant
make this funny
start and end with a question
not use the word 'I' anywhere in the tale
have a large bunch of flowers somewhere in the story
involve a telephone box somewhere
tell this in the first person
have a very happy ending
write a romantic story
involve a building being demolished
have one character who is very heroic...but not necessarily bright
have a very wealthy hero
make your character drink many cups of tea or coffee
start: 'Last Tuesday at five o'clock....'
have a swarm of bees somewhere in the story
start all the characters' names with the same letter
start with a question, which is answered by the story
have a villain as a main character
have a crowd of people somewhere in your story
kill your main character off before the end of the story
tell your tale in the present tense
make sure your characters have lots to eat
have a main character the same sex as yourself
have a main character the opposite sex as yourself
be silly and/or corny
use lots of similes and metaphors and cliches
tell what your characters eat and drink
have a tragic ending
give your main character the ability to fly
give your main character the ability to become invisible
start: 'Do you know why.....?'
make your story a dream so the impossible can and does happen
write your story in verse, either rhyming or blank
have your characters in either disguise or costume
write a quest story
start at the end and explain how you got there
retell a myth or fairy story in a modern setting
appear in the story yourself
