Fictional Characters
These, of course, can come from anywhere.
If you borrow a character invented by someone else, you may of course find you can't publish, because of the copyright,
but it's an interesting exercise to take a person you already know about, so to speak,
and see if you can make him/her behave in character.
This may not be as easy as it might sound!
Count Dracula

an explorer (like Indiana Jones!)
Simon Templar (aka The Saint)
or Robin Hood
or maybe even both of them together
Hercule Poirot
or Miss Marple or your own version thereof
Scarlett O'Hara (What DID happen after Rhett left her? So someone wrote a sequel - that doesn't mean you can't write your own!)
a robot or an android
Garfield
or Calvin and Hobbes, or the characters from any comic strip
characters from a fairy story or nursery rhyme:
Humpty Dumpty (WHY did he sit on that wall?)
Jack and Jill )Who sent them after the water?)
Little Red Riding Hood (try retelling the tale)
The Wolf
Cinderella
Snow White
the person you would like most to be if you weren't you!
a clone of yourself
one or more characters from a film you have seen
Superman and/or the Phantom
or any other Super Hero (or Heroine)
Basil Fawlty or your own version of the hotel keeper from hell....
any character from a story or book you have read
a kind-hearted wizard or witch
the most unusual character you have ever seen in a television series or film
an elf, or gnome, or dwarf
a group of talking animals
someone who can do real magic
some very old people
any character you have already created and used anytime anywhere
