In 1998 my first computer found its way into my possesion and so began my venture into this "new" technology. It didn't take me long to be wanting something faster to play the latestest games (that hasn't changed to this day) and the seemingly endless information on the internet pertaining to overclocking and modding in general gave me the knowledge required to obtain the results I was after. Overclocking has been apart of my computer "history" from day dot so to speak, there's a certain satisfaction I and many others get from making a computer run faster than it is meant to.

Watercooling a PC seemed so outragious I just had to have it! My current PC is the third I have watercooled and the second I have custom built as you may have already seen on this website.

Forever looking for away to increase my gaming enjoyment I stumbled on a website that @ first seemed like a lot of bullshit, I speak of course of DIY LCD Projectors. After researching the idea for several weeks I took the plunge and ordered the necessary components to build my first LCD projector...The rest as they say is history and that history can be viewed on this website!

I have been asked by a few people recently if I could add a couple of pics of my "Workshop" It's nothing overly special... the most used tool I would have to say without a doubt is my trusty "Dremel" It's not an original Dremel it is a copy of one, picked it up for $48 from Bunnings came with a stand and flexi tool plus an assortment of bits for it. If your contemplating doing any modding I strongly suggest purchasing one of these handy little tools! I have all the usual hand tools and a nice assortment of power tools which I might add is always increasing. The addition of a 3hp compressor coutesy of Lesmurdie Hardware shall be a great compliment to the existing collection of tools early next month (Thankyou Peter) , I shall be buying an assortment of air tools too :-)

Below pics show my main work bench there is another too the left of picture that has a bench grinder and a vice on it... :-)

Well...Us is really just me! and the name of the site "The Garage" came about simply because I live in a converted concrete garage located in the hills of Perth, Western Australia.

My real name is Kim, I go by either HiLLBiLLY or The Pensioner online and I'm a 35 year old Australian male. Im a typical stereo type Aussie, love watching sport, drinking beer, catching up with my mates and women (not necessarily in that order!) A motorcycle accident in 1991 left me confined to a wheelchair due to spinal injuries and inevitably resulting in a dramatic change in lifestyle.
