A 1991 model Ford Laser heatcore was used for the radiator in my watercooling system, excellent little radiator very similar in size and looks to the black ice radiator, it was in excellent condition cost was $20 from the local wreckers. Clear 1/2 inch pvc tube ($6) was purchased from Bunnings along with a Hydor L30 inline water pump ($98) Tubes are held in place with cables ties (2 on each fitting) I fabricated a metal shroud to fit on the front of the radiator to increase the effectivness of the 120mm Sunnon fan. The addition of a the shroud allows the entire surface area of the radiator to be utilised. The fan is mounted so cool air is drawn through the front case filter and through the radiator. A "Y" connector is used on the CPU water block to connect the two outlet tubes before connection to the GPU waterblock is made. Direction of water flow , pump--->radiator--->CPU waterblock--->GPU waterblock--->pump. A couple of cap fulls of Toilet Duck to keep the algae growth at bay!
The watercooling performs extremely well with CPU temp sitting steady on 32 degrees idle and 34 degrees after hours of gaming running a mild 400_MHz overclock. GPU temps 30 degrees idle and 33 under load running 75MHz overclock on the core and 80MHz on the memory. I had change from $200 after the system was complete! The case is a standard Antec I'm not really into over the top case mods a couple of black tint custom cut case windows on the side and top were added along with a cold cathode. The drives were also stealthed using 2mm polished aluminium plate and the PC was finished ! Below are a few pictures of the completed PC, not a show stopper by any stretch of the imagination but she is a neat, solid performer and has run incident free since built.
