Sometimes a couple who officially marry in another Australian state or overseas country wish to have a further ceremony in Western Australia - a Re-affirmation Ceremony - to celebrate their marriage with family and friends who could not attend the original wedding.

This is not actually a legal ceremony, so no documents need to be lodged
