Ragdolls are gentle giants. They are a naturally large cat, in fact the largest domestic
cat recorded. The males can often reach 7-9 kilograms, and the females are usually 4-6
kilograms. Their temperament is their most identifying trait: they are very easygoing,
quiet voiced and sweet tempered.
They are an extremely vigorous cat: full of energy as a kitten, and keeping a good
proportion of that energy as an adult! They are not a boring breed of cat to have around.
Although they are known for their quality of being able to relax when picked up and held,
they are still a playful and enjoyable companion.
Amongst their most endearing traits is their incredible 'dogginess'. A Ragdoll will
follow you all over the house, they can't bear to be in one room if you are in another,
and must be one step behind (or often ahead) of you at all times.
