FANWORK

Fanwork: a more respectable way of saying things made for fun, by personal interest.

You'll notice by this folio that my fanwork evidences an obvious enjoyment of videogames. i do. It's like a gift of exploring a piece of someone else's imagination. i especially like role-playing games (RPGs) for their deeper stories and greater sense of achievement. My fanwork for videogames produces video clips, guides, and technical support. i share much of this by way of game-specific websites, aka fansites.

There's also some educational pieces included. Versed was a significant undertaking as an interface design experiment, animating live to visitor movements and granting them control in subtle ways - no mouse clicks. My dissertation, i am (not) me, looks at videogames as an extension of character from the game design and from the player. Themes of identity, understanding of world mechanics, and the mix of real and unreal are common throughout this theoretical exploration. But it is backed up with lots of gameplay time by me and some interesting observations i've made of others.

As for my other interests, like food and nature, there's not so much here. Just some photos.
