My name is Nigel Boundy, my sister is Dorothy Boundy. Our paternal line hails from Cornwall and our maternal line hails from Somerset.
The creation of this web site is the culmination of many hours spent gathering and collating and the experience has been a great joy and challenge. During 2001, I spent three weeks in Cornwall and two weeks in Somerset gathering information and visiting places where our ancestors were christened, married and buried.
There has been great support and much information provided by members of the family. This has been received with much thanks, with special thanks going to Robert "Bob" Joseph Coate, who has written a short article about his branch of the family. In January 2006, he organised a family gathering in Melbourne to visit the burial place of our great grandfather George Coggan Coate and to view the granite stone and brass plaque which have been laid. This occasion was attended by fifty members of Coate families from all over Australia.
