Volunteers working on the Montbellew Workhouse Project (Co. Galway, Ireland) are seeking to make contact with descendants of former inmates including a number of orphan girls who were sent to Western Australia aboard the ship ‘Palestine’ arriving at Fremantle on 28 April 1853.

If you are descended from one of the girls listed below, Paula Kennedy in Ireland would be very pleased to hear from you.
