Search work, or as it is commonly referred to “headhunting”, is just what it sounds like. A search conducted for the right type of person using a broad palette of tools and techniques. While the tools and techniques are important, there’s no substitute for research and making contact with the best targets. It is the quality and discretion of the approach that can make or break effective search work.
Search is generally used in senior management or very specialised roles as these candidates are less likely to be active job seekers and even less inclined to send their CV’s in response to media ads. Although with the current market being as tight as it is for candidates in all fields, search work is being conducted to find suitable candidates through middle management, engineering and trades people.
Crest HR’s staff not only have search experience on a national and inter-national basis but have also done contract search work for other recruiters!
