History of Piawaning Springs - Originally the property was used as a grazing lease by the Benedictine Monks of New Norcia to primarily breed horses for remounts for the British Army in India. The property consists of 3 farms - Piawaning Springs bought in 1964, 'Tirri Tirri' purchased in 1989 and 'Avalon' the home farm where it all began by my father-in-law Max Duggan in 1929. Between my husband Clive and his older brother Dan the family own over 10,000 acres. 'Piawaning Springs Bed & Breakfast' opened in June 1999.
