CONTACT! is a music programme broadcast from the studios of Australia's Community Radio Network in inner Sydney. The original version of the show was established at 2RDJ-FM, Burwood, Sydney in February 1988 and has now migrated successfully to the Community Radio Network operated by the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia, having now racked up over 300 CRN-produced editions of the programme. The programme deals mainly in the best of new and old indie/alternative, new wave, UK and US indie-rock and local music, including a smattering of quality material from received demos.

Past interview guests have included Andy Partridge and Terry Chambers (XTC), Stephen Duffy (Birmingham via London, UK), Welter (Sydney), Symposium (West London, UK), Tanya Donelly (Boston, USA), Swoop (Sydney), Amateur Lovers (West Seattle, USA), Pollyanna (Melbourne, ex-Sydney), The Presidents of the United States of America (Seattle USA), Grinspoon, Swervedriver (Oxford, UK), Something For Kate (Melbourne), Clouds (Sydney), Ride (Oxford, UK), BYK (Hawaii, San Francisco, Paris...?), Even (Melbourne), The Mavis's (Melbourne) and The Wishing Chair (Brisbane).

Album feature programmes are another regular part of the show. Past features include the Mars Closest Approach and Moon Landing 30th Anniversary Theme Nights (okay so sometimes we're daggy but fun), the 20th Anniversary of "The Queen Is Dead" by The Smiths, the XTC Exclusive "Song Stories" Special, The Stephen Duffy Retrospective, our landmark Tenth Birthday Show, Best-of retrospectives for the final show of each year, plus countless album feature programmes on albums including "Ringleader Of The Tormentors" by Morrissey, "The Life Pursuit" by Belle & Sebastian, "As Is Now" by Paul Weller, "Discover A Lovelier You" by Pernice Brothers, "Brassbound" by The Ordinary Boys, "Silent Alarm" by Bloc Party, "Talkie Walkie" by Air, "Keep Going" by Stephen Duffy & The Lilac Time, "Finisterre" by Saint Etienne, "Danse Macabre" by The Faint, "Have You Fed The Fish?" by Badly Drawn Boy, "Light & Magic" by Ladytron, "Holes In The Wall" by The Electric Soft Parade, "The Last Broadcast" by Doves, "When I Was Cruel" by Elvis Costello, "Howdy" by Teenage Fanclub and "Static and Silence" by The Sundays.

The original 1988-2002 2RDJ version of CONTACT! was also carried on the broadcast relay schedule of the Community Radio Network (aka ComRadSat) between 1997 and February 2002. As with the programme's eventual migration to the CBAA network, this made the programme available to listeners of more than 100 other public radio stations across the country and dramatically increased its ability to bring its special mix of music to a new audience.
