Renshi Kyle Hoath (4th Dan) Senior Instructor

Born in
Perth Australia 1987 and commenced training in 1994 at age
7 with my father, Sensei Chris Hoath at Rockingham.
Started competing in 1995 and tasted immediate success.
This only served to turn me into a keen competitor over
the years with success in Team Kata, Individual Kata and
Kumite at a local and State level. Fond memories winning
State Team Kata events with Andrew Border and James
Murphy. My major highlights were at SKIWA State
Championships in 2002 and 2003, including teaming with my
father to be State Team Kata Champions. During this period
I also dominated in Colt's Kumite.
Through my martial arts development, I have been fortunate
to train under the direction of my mother Sensei Judy
Hoath and under the direction of world karate figures like
Kanazawa Kancho, Murakami Sensei and Schmidt Sensei. My
karate highlight would be achieving my Dan grade with
Murakami Sensei.
2003
Awarded Ni Kyu in Tai Chi
2004
Honored to be invited onto the Coastal Shotokan Grading
Council.
Awarded Nidan by Chief Instructor Chris Hoath CSKA at Port
Kennedy, 19 December 2004.
2007
May 2007, elevated to Instructor status (Sensei).
In December 2007 I was awarded Sandan by Chief Instructor Chris Hoath CSKA at the Honbu dojo in Secret Harbour.
2008August - at the SKI (WA) State Championships - 2nd Mens Open Free Kumite, 3rd Mens Open Kata and Team Kumite
2009
August - awarded the title of Renshi (Polished Expert - Senior Instructor) for outstanding contribution to the development of karate at CSKA
2011
18 April - awarded CSKA Yondan (4th Dan)

I began my training in 1999 with Shotokan Karate International Australia at the South Perth dojo under Clive Funston Sensei. My father had returned to training with me, having previously trained under Walter Hurni Sensei. He has been, and still is a fantastic mentor and coach for me.
In mid 1999 I participated in my first competition and from that moment I was hooked on karate. Over the years I continued to compete in State, National and AKF competitions and was part of a team kata for over 8 years that enjoyed many successes.
In 2008 I began my training with Coastal Shotokan Karate and have enjoyed helping with many things at the dojo, including helping Kyoshi Chris Hoath with some development of his 1st published book. The highlight of my karate experience is without doubt my shodan grading with Kanazawa Kancho in Sydney 2002.
8 April 2009, awarded 3rd Dan (Sandan)
17 March 2010, promoted to CSKA Grading Council
19 August 2010, title and recognition of Tashi/Sensei
04 April 2012, promoted to 4th Dan
