The Condingup District Recreation Association![]() The CDRA is a governing body set up to administer all sporting clubs in the area. The CDRA provides a community hall venue and charges each sporting club a fee for the use of the facilities. This body also administers the running of the hall and bar. Monthly meetings are held to which all clubs send delegates and decisions are made on community recreation matters. The CDRA is also the liaison with the local Shire Council in Esperance. As the Shire contact, the CDRA obtains funding for projects ranging from public works to sports. The meetings are open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend. Anyone can submit suggestions or grievances to the CDRA. Clubs and Groups
The Country Womens Association (CWA) has been in the area since the beginning. Women of all ages belong to this branch and they raise funds for community projects through their traditional skills of catering, cooking and crafts. The CWA meets monthly.
The Playgroup has projects for toddlers. They have raised funds for a new playground with a sun sail shelter. A large array of toys are available here and the playgroup provides a good social outlet for young mothers to mix with others. The Garden club caters for all interested people to visit one another's gardens swapping information and advice. |
