Lowering the Dr.

 

 

Take off sidecovers.

 

Remove seat.

 

Undo 3 bolts holding in airbox.

 

Undo clamp on rubber boot to airbox

Undo clamp at the carby

Take off the crankcase oil breather hose

 

Slide out airbox

Remove rubber boot

Undo bottom bolt on shock

 

Undo top bolt of shock

Undo top collar. If need be, use a wire brush to clean the thread first & use some CRC or WD-40

 

Undo bottom collar.

This is the collar at the bottom of the shock in the standard position, remove the small metal plate that covers the second mounting hole

Lift up, slide out & turn upside down then put back in

 

When you put the shock back on use the upper hole,

 

You will need to shorten the stand by 1 1/2 to 2 inches.  If you dont want to cut it you can buy the shorter stand.
