STUDIOSouth Coast WoodWorks Gallery was first established in 1995 as proprietor Dean Malcolm's Woodturning Studio. Visitors may observe activities in Dean's adjoining studio through a viewing window from the gallery. The studio has grown from its origins as a place where Dean designed and produced woodturned articles into a focal point for the south coast and great southern region's fine woodworkers. WoodWorks Gallery now hosts, from time to time, artists in residence, workshops, exhibitions, meetings and events relating to woodworking and design. The Gallery provides 250 square metres of display area featuring the creations of over fifty fine woodworkers from as far afield as Walpole, Albany and Cranbrook, whilst the Studio fosters and encourages the individual talents and professional development of novice and expert woodworkers alike.
