Of abstract concepts and choc chips

Well, I was going to write a really mushy entry here (in fact I did write the entry, and will post it at another time), but I decided to write about something else instead.

I had a bit of a crisis today, about all sorts of things, including journalling and this website, and what an incredibly boring and pathetic image I must be projecting. Don't disagree (thanks anyway Sam, my sweetie), because it's true. The fact is, that I'm in a holding pattern at the moment; professionally, healthwise, emotionally ... I'm waiting on various plans to come to fruition - and they are all in progress, I'm not simply waiting for stuff to fall smack! into my lap (usually only shit falls like that). It just doesn't make for interesting reading, is all.

And I haven't mastered the funny ha-ha or abstract entry yet. I have lots - too many! - abstract thoughts and concepts rolling around my poor wee head all day, but they never seem to make it as far as here. Usually one of my mates, or Isabel or one of my big brothers, gets the brunt. I just haven't got the hang of "journalling" it yet, is all. Though Sam and I did have this weird conversation about brothels and how to solve the Northern Ireland impasse. Unrelated topics, honest!!!

How's this for abstract? Or at least a change of pace. I've just discovered Cadbury's Dairy Choc Chip Ice-cream and oooooh my. I am hooked on Baskin Robbins' Macadamiamania or whatever it's called,  but 'supermarket' ice-cream leaves me feeling ... kinda sad and disgusted. But this mmmmm proper creamy yellow vanilla (feh feh feh on whiter than white vanilla ice-creams feh) with huuuuge choc chippies like someone just stirred in a dozen Flakes (um not sure if this is a purely Australian invention - a Flake bar is made up of flaky chunky bits of dairy milk moulded together in a kinda log type arrangement. Looks like a turd but mmm mmmmm). None of this wussy speckly bits of brown stuff you usually find in other choc chip ice-creams oh no.

And no, I don't work for Cadbury's. Don't you think I should?

And last but not least:  Mad love and hugs to my parents Ernest and Isabel, on their 38th Wedding Anniversary. Congratulations, I love you both very very much, thanks for everything.
