Pain in the butt
Had my monthly visit to Zeus today - the word for the day is therefore owowowfuckowow. Meaning: I had my usual injections - one of cortisone/anti-inflammatory (this really helps with the pain levels and healing) the other B12. Both are big needles and they hurt. And Zeus always goes for the butt so tonight I am having some difficulty sitting down. I need one of those doughnut rings or something. Ow.
As I was leaving I was chatting to one of the receptionists (who was filling in for Zeus' usual assistant) and whimpering a little about my sore bottom, conceding all the while that it was, indeed, worth it; when I waved bye-bye she yelled after me - "hope the butt gets better!" - in front of a very crowded surgery waiting room. Ooooh burn. Hee.

We're heading off to one of our favourite ven-yoos tonight - Sunset Cinema in King's Park, complete with luxurious picnic and a couple bottles of white wine (Goundrey's Unwooded Chardonnay, if you're interested), to see Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill. I am not keen at all, its just not my type of film; although I did love Pulp Fiction - when I eventually saw it, several years after release - and it promises to be interesting, at least. And any evening spent sipping wine whilst lazing on picnic blanket and pillows with one's sweetie, on a beautiful, cloudless, lovely warm night, has a lot going for it before the film even starts. Aaaah, bliss.
