Cassette at Seizan was an institution in Perth for a year, until it got too big and had to move to Bar Open in '07. It lost a lot of charm and gained a lot of sceney wankers in the transition, which is sad because the original night was so well-intentioned and just a great party. There was free chicken strips from the resteraunt downstairs, you could see most of the people who are now some of the city's top dj's learning their skills, there was a gloriously tacky light-up blue floor and if you needed to talk to one of your mates on a wednesday, you could pretty much guarantee that they'd be amongst the 100 or so kids there. Perth doesn't really have a decent midweek hoedown anymore and I miss it; for those of us that have to work during the weekend (either at shows or my day job at the time asa video game arcade clerk), wednesday is pretty much the ideal time to get fucktarded. But there you go. Anyway, I had a lot of fun with this mix and it scored me some pretty sweet shows. Now I still listen to it 'cos it's pretty much the perfect mix of awesome tuneage and wilful perversity. Anyway, like I need to convince you to download it; it's a free download...
