General Business
- Richard introduced our new FCO Phillip Khume who gave us a run down of his history and experience. He also discussed protective gear, catering supplies, getting organized for next financial year, duty of care, and training for new members at the burn offs.
- Social Director Mick Rogers thanked members for fund raising efforts. Bob and Jay for wood, Barry Grey for TV antenna, Sandra Sheilds for the desk, all members at the Tony Taylor night, and Grand Final Day celebrations. Mick has called for six members to help on 13 December.
- A letter is to be sent to the Agricultural Society providing a set fee for work on the show weekend for the amount of $500.00. All agreed this was a good idea.
- A big thank you to Jenny and Keith Willgoss for the First Aid course. We know Jenny's time is valuable and appreciate her experience and training, and Keith's time helping set up. THANK YOU!
- The Thursday 11 December Street Party fundraiser will be tackled by our social director. THANKS MICK.
- The Shire has waived the site plan fees of $42 as a donation to the shed extensions. Plans are with the shire for approval, and plans are progressing well.
- Andrew has fixed the 2/4 foamer (no foam in the tank!) and stressed to fighters to use the funnel in the light tanker for fuel transfers.
- John Baker would like all members to use the toilet provided and not harass the trees anymore.
- Yvonne Hawkins made an excellent suggestion of unit door knocking, in full uniform to raise funds and awareness of the Brigade and the fire season. The FCO agreed this was an excellent idea and will provide information as well to be handed out to homes. Torben suggested crew leaders could organize this with their crews. All agreed this is an excellent idea.
- New member, Emilio Bellotti, was welcomed to the Brigade.
- Thanks to the Toodyay OP Shop for their kind donation.
