JUVENTUS - LAZIO 1-1

Saturday 11 Nov 2000, kick-off 9:30PM CET

The first half finished all square, with the unlikely name of Igor Tudor on the score sheet for the Bianconeri and Marcelo Salas for Lazio.

The second half failed to produce any changes in the over-all result.

In a game that ebbed and flowed, Juve both started and finished strongly, although Sven Goran Eriksson’s men had plenty of the play going close to goal on more than one occasion. It was the Bianconeri who opened the scoring, however, through an Igor Tudor header after Alex Del Piero whipped a ball in from a corner in the 22nd minute.

Lazio then threw themselves forward, on more than one occasion risking being caught on the break, but it only took them eight minutes to level the scores when Edwin Van der Sar failed to hold a vicious 25-yard strike from Chilean international, Marcelo Salas.
