02/03/2002. Juventus coach Marcello Lippi
was once again a happy man after his side won their sixth straight Serie A match
when beating Lecce 3-0.
The bianconeri went second on goal difference thanks to strikes from in-form
Antonio Conte, David Trezeguet and Alessandro Del Piero.
Lippi was pleased with the general performance of his side and paid special
tribute to Pavel Nedved who continued his good form with another impressive
display.
"These six straight victories are our response to the poor start to the
season which we made," said Lip. "This was not an easy win though,
because Lecce defended well and attempted to hit us on the counter-attack. Pavel
Nedved is doing really well and that makes an impact on the whole
team."
