people think they are. It is important to understand that these exercises
are very different from many of the rigorous exercises that you will
often see athletes using to condition their bodies and stay in shape.
For example golf training exercises using weights are not designed
to built bulky muscles. Usually much lighter weights will be used
and will be lifted more times as opposed to normal muscle-building
training which will involve much heavier weights being lifted fewer
times. The muscle-building exercises will also call for longer hours
of exercises...

Gone are the days when a golf training system mainly involved going
over to the course and practicing your swing. This was hardly effective
and for many unprepared golfers in poor physical condition often led
to injury. These days golf training systems have become more sophisticated
and the key objective is to get results. Modern golf training systems
usually involve golf-specific exercises designed to strengthen muscles
that are used in the game. Modern golf training systems also incorporate
the use of exercise machines and equipment. The most effective of
this seek to strengthen particular muscles and parts of the body that...

golf swing speed and power. You can't get anymore golf -specific than
using a golf training club. There are many golf training clubs on
the market and new ones coming out every year; but the one I'm talking
about is a weighted golf training club. When you can literally mimic
your athletic movement with resistance, you stand the make the biggest
improvement...and quickly. The goal of most strength coaches and trainers
is to come up with exercises that closely resemble that particular
athletic movement, but with...

If you’ve watched any golf on the television
you’ve no doubt heard the commentator’s mention golf training. It’s
no secret that 95 percent of professional golfers are doing some
for of golf training. If there livelihood depends on their performance
and they are participating in golf fitness training, why wouldn’t
amateur golfers do the same? The golf swing is one of the most physically
demanding movements on the human body of all sports. Swinging a
three and a half foot long implement at upwards of 100 mph, while
maintaining balance, stabilization and proper swing mechanics is
very difficult. I don’t think I have...

Various aspects of golf training have expanded rapidly, but one
area of development that has caught on somewhat slowly is golf-specific
strength training. Not until very recently has this specific need
been addressed. As with many things, it started at the top with
pros like Tiger Woods and David Duval and began to trickle down
to the masses over time. Unfortunately, many golfers still live
under the old assumption that strength training is detrimental.
The truth is that the days of simply practicing and playing to
make yourself a stronger and better golfer are from a bygone era.

A golf training book needs to be ‘user-friendly’ and ‘plug-and-play’.
What I mean by that is a golfer should be able to have a clear idea
on what he should do immediately to improve his/her game. And it should
be easy to apply. No figuring out what to do next. No sense of confusion
or frustration at information overload. Haven’t you purchased a book
(not necessarily a golf training book) before; got excited to dive
and; and then in a short period of time felt overwhelmed? I know I
have! It’s not a good feeling and can leave you even more frustrated...
