"Robbo"
John Robbins
John 'Gilly' Gilfoyle wrote the first five books;
John 'Robbo' Robbins features in each one.
They did their apprenticeships as jackaroos,
Robbo went to Vietnam and fought at the Battle
of Long Tan, and they both finished up as stock
and station agents with Elders.
Now they have collaborated to produce
'You’d Better Bloody Believe It!'
A collection of stories, yarns and poems - Robbo’s stories, Gilly’s stories
and stories from others they met over the last 50 years – stories of real
Aussie characters and they are all true - well mostly so!
You are guaranteed to find a laugh; maybe you’ll shed a tear; it's a book you can read anywhere anytime.

But, more importantly, it’s for a good cause – the street kids of Manila.
The book has only been available since the 22nd August but was officially launched by best-selling author Hugh Lunn on the 27th September when co-author John Gilfoyle announced that it has already sold enough copies to cover printing and publishing costs and that from now on 100% of sale proceeds will be donated to the Marist Brothers for the benefit of street kids in Manila.
