Biography

First of all - I'M AN AUSTRALIAN! And proud of it : )

My Birth Certificate shows me as being born in the Melbourn suburb of Carlton. However, as some of you might understand, I have little recollection of this VERY early stage of my life. The only "evidence" I have of this period, besides the Birth Certificate, is some baby photos of me playing in the gutter.

Besides, as a keen Australian Football League fan - and Richmond supporter (Carlton being one of our arch-rivals), I would rather not spend too much time talking about Carlton!

As you may have guessed by now, I soon moved to the suburb of Richmond, where most of my childhood memories begin. These were the wonderful years where I grew-up with my Mother, Father and Sister, went to Kindergarten (Pre-school) and spent most of my Primary School years until the age of around 8.

This was also a significant time in my life, and I'm sure my sister Melissa's, as our parents separated and later divorced.

I later moved to the suburb of Fairfield, where I also have some very fond memories of growing-up, such as joining the local Cubs (Scouts) group and making some good friends whom, sadly, I have lost contact with. Perhaps one day I will get to meet some of them once again. If any of you happen to stumble across my Web page, I would love to get an email from you.

A significant addition to my family in 1979 was the birth of my brother Christian. Hi Chris!

We moved to Perth, Western Australia in late 1979, just in time for Perth's 150th celebrations. This was both a sad and exciting time for me as I was leaving all I knew and what I was used to in Victoria behind, but at the same time about to meet the MANY relatives living in Western Australia. Most of which, I had never met before. My Mother comes from a family of 9 kids, so you can imagine how many there are when you think of how many of them are married and how many have children!

I now consider Perth to be my home town, although when it comes to things such as Football, it's not always so obvious.

I got the chance to go back to Victoria and visit many of my relatives that I hadn't seen for many years in 1989. It was a kind of 21st birthday present to myself. This was a great trip that I enjoyed with my very good friend Andrew as we rode our motorcycles across Australia on a 6 week adventure. Great fun! I hope one day I get to do something similar again. First stop was South Australia, and the Australian Grand Prix and a trip to Mt Gambier to visit my Father. Then on to Victoria to see the rest of my family before a 7-day stint of riding around Tasmania - Ohhhhh, what fun roads!
