Many moons back Lloyd Morgan joined the Hawks Basketball Club, and along came the wife and 4 kids, that would be Virginia, Nathan, Jeremy, Brad and Cristy. Over the years they have all contributed to the Hawks Basketball Club both as players, and regular attendees at club functions. Lloyd not only supplied the players for the various grades but also put his hand up to coach most teams they played in. The most memorable team probably the Women's Vets for their 11 from 12 premierships, but one could go as far to say that the most outstanding individual player under Lloyd was Jeremy, who at a very early age displayed the skills that the likes of Greg Brown, Ray Seaby and others could only dream about. It was in the finals series for Under 14s that Jeremy went off the boil, so it seemed, and we all knew it couldn't possibly be nerves. Jeremy started to experience some loss of balance and with this was shipped off to Perth for further investigation and we all know that result. Being the little "Aussie Battler" that he is, his determined attitude decided that he could beat the monster and yes, we all know that result. Given a little time to recover, Jeremy decided that he was ready to give the basketball another crack, and it was back to the courts for him playing in the winter comp along side Lloyd, Hebs, Yogi and a few more of his favourites. This of course gave him the urge to get more involved, not only on the Junior scene but also as the coach of the Womens 4 Division. Jeremy played in the Mens Division 3 in season 2000/01 and it was the lack of committment from his teammates that forced his early retirement. Jeremy has always been a very loyal member and very social member (especially with the Hawks girls) and we are very honoured to have him join the ranks of Hebs, Maz, Lloyd and Pops as a Life Memeber of the Hawks Basketball Club.
