That cross stitch project

I swear I will finish it one day...

This is based on a postcard I bought in Kyoto a few years ago. I got these images by putting the work in progress straight on the scanner. Some of the reds look a little odd, but it's not too far off. The background will be mostly dark greens and browns, and the plan is to add quite a bit of metallic thread work to the womens' costumes. Anyone want the pattern when I've finished?

Here's the original postcard:

I took out the big black bridge post in the foreground, and moved the yellow-leafed branch above the girls' heads a little up and to the right, but the rest's pretty much as in the original. I notice the reds look pretty weird in this scan too...
