Angelica archangelica (Umbelliferae)
Bienniel herb likes cool moist situation with shaded light. Considered to have carminative, stimulant, diaphoretic, stomachic, tonic and expectorant properties. Ancient history of use. Used for colic, rheumatism and lung problems, urinary disorders. Formerly used in confectionary, as candied stems or flavouring.
