Used as a general stimulant of the circulation though in fever actually acting to reduce the body temperature. Relieves congestion in the upper respiratory pathways, is slightly sedative, a digestive stimulant and a mild nervine used for restlessness, nervousness and hysteria.

A perennial herb naturalized in the United States and foundin all parts.
As a tea Catnep is a popular nightcap as it induces agood nights sleep.
As a smoke there have been varied reports on its effects ranging from nothing
to slightly euphoric, all the same it is described as an enjoyable smoke and
makes a good mixer. For a tea, use approx. 1 teaspoon per serve. Allow to
steep in a pot of hot water for ten minutes
