This has been the home of the Borisography for some years.
This version of the site is a simple copy of the previous one.
My plans to do a major revamp have not got anywhere in too long.
Basic statistic: around 200 images and much information to come.
I have now changed ISPs again - Westnet insisted on payment six months in advance for broadband, and I have gone with someone a little more reasonable. This site will is due to disappear in February of 2006. Whether this site will be moved to the new location is debatable. I had hoped that publishing the titles given the images by the artist would result in them being correctly titled elsewhere on the Web, but this does not seem to have happened. I'm just not sure that I care any more. If anyone else wants to take up the cudgels, please contact me. A little under six months and counting ... 8th September, 2005 |
Mother's Child
This was the start of a major reworking of this site. At the moment, it seems like the death knell as well. I have changed the name of the entry page to the Borisography, and the links back to it are broken. There isn't an easy workaround, the problem being one of technology change, so you may have to use your Back button to get there.
This is the master index.
Further information is in the following pages:
Acknowledgements:
These pages were prepared by Hercules Gunter of Western Australia, and extensively corrected and updated by Bernard Rogers (typos and factual corrections). Technically, I suppose, I own copyright to the layout and text of these pages. Since this is merely a documentation of the work of a great artist, this is something of a nonsense. Feel free to copy these pages as you see fit (someone has suggested that they would be useful as an index to one's own collection of images if one added links to the full-size images).
I offer thanks to the following people, who have helped me correct my work or provided additional information for inclusion in the Borisography:
Really Major Contributors:
Bernard M Rogers, UK
Mike Lewis, USA
Larry Kinney, USA
Other Contributors
Adrian Heath, UK
Damian Sheiles, Western Australia
Sergey Okun, Russia (who has a very informative Web
site)
Evgeniy Nikolaenko, Russia
Paul Leonard, Australia
Geert Damhoff, Netherlands
Diana Hunter, (USA?)
And, of course, I offer my gratitude
and deep admiration to The Master himself, Boris Vallejo, for all the pleasure
his work has brought to me and to so many others, and for all the beauty
he has captured for us to enjoy.
