The "Ilyarie" Database!

The Ilyarie Database contains a wealth of information about the Irwin district including people who have lived there, places that have been built, events that have occurred, and also objects and media that the IDHS has managed to preserve.

By searching the database, results matching your search will be presented as records categorised as one of event, object, media, person or place. Below is an outline of what each record can be expected to hold.

Event
Search the event records to find details on openings, explorations, discoveries, disasters, elections, visits, public meetings, licensing, sales and purchases and births. Find the date an event occurred and a brief description of the details.

Object
Search the object records to find details on objects that the IDHS holds. This includes descriptions, history, year made, the condition each object is in currently, the physical dimensions of each object and the history and provenance of the item.

Media
Search the media records to find photos that have been preserved by the IDHS. View the image on the screen and read a brief description.

Person
Search the person records to find a person's name, sex, date of birth, date of death if applicable, a short blurb, whether or not the person was either an organisation member or donor, marriage date if applicable and family member's names.

Place
Search the place records to find details of places in the Irwin district, including description, location, date built and whether it is heritage listed..

When looking at any particular record, there may be a number of related links to other records. For example when looking at a place record there may be a related media record that is a photo of that place. Get in and explore!
