Research at the Irwin District Historical Society
The IDHS has provided information to researchers, authors, architects and planners and can assist with various enquiries including the following:
- Genealogy of local families
- Photographs of places and people of the Irwin District
- History of the European habitation of the Irwin District
- Various History Texts are available for reading online and include articles such as European habitation, exploration, settlement and policing of the district.
- Various informational Publications are available for purchase from the Society
If you cannot find what you are looking for online or below then please contact us or request information, alternatively come and speak to staff at the IDHS Museum at the Old Police Station in Dongara between 9am and 12noon on Mondays and Wednesdays
The "Ilyarie" Online Database *new*
The society now has an online database of information containging more than 2000 records and images that can be accessed for various searches including historical events, people, various media and families in the Irwin District Historical Society's records.
