The Stamps & Stuff Story

Hello, my name is Susanne and, together with my husband John, we founded “Stamps & Stuff’ in September 2001. 

We are a retail store, specialising in card making stamping, scrapbooking and paper craft supplies.  We carry a comprehensive range of wood mounted stamps as well as card stock, paper, tools and accessories. We also carry a large range of designer stationery papers suitable for wedding invitations, birthdays and special occasions.

My addiction to Rubber Stamping started in 1997, when a girlfriend invited me to a home demonstration. I had looked at stamps and ink pads prior to this but there is nothing like giving it a go.

I was immediately hooked! I spent a small fortune, forgot about housework and sleep and I have never looked back. At first I just made cards for myself, then I found family and friends asking to buy my handmade creations. Soon I began selling at arts and crafts markets, teaching classes at day and evening collages and before I knew it, “Stamps and Stuff” was born.

My love for paper and colour has grown from just card making to many other types of paper craft including Scrapbooking. I find so many techniques and products overlap that it is very easy to enjoy lots of different paper crafts . I just love to share my passion for card making, especially with people new to the craft.

I love it when people first book into a class, often nervous, and with concerns that they have never made cards before, but within a lesson or two I have seen their confidence blossom and before I know it they excitedly show me creations of their own that they have made at home. This is one of the greatest joys that I get from the classes and getting to know my customers.
