Generation 1: Roger Adams married Elizabeth Hopper at Ashwater, Devonshirel 1779 by whom he had issue. Settled at nearby North Petherwin.

 
 

Hopper Lineage at Bradford & Black Torrington, Cornwall from 1601

 

Leonard Adams married Amelia Squires aka Maria in 1811 at Werrington, Devonshire by whom he had issue.

 

John Adams married Betsey Williams at Milton Abbott, Devon 1838  by whom he had issue.  Migrated to South Australia in 1852.

 

Generation 4: James Adams married Charlotte Maria Hamiton in 1869 at Pleasant Creek, Victoria.  Settled at Sandhurst Victoria.

 

James Hamilton married Fanny Gowlett c. 1842 Sydney Australia. Moved to South Australia and Victoria.

 

Father of Fanny Hamilton [nee Gowlett], Isaac Gowlett [1774-1825], Convict.  Transported to Sydney Cove, Australia 1796.  Born in Uxbridge, Middlesex his Biography gives a graphic description of his Parents, early childhood, his Trial, Voyage to the new land and his life in the New Colony.  His relationships with two convict women by whom he had issue. Includes handwritten letter to the Parramatta Orphanage where he placed two of his daughters shortly before his death.

 

Gowlett Lineage for Fanny Hamilton [nee Gowlett] from her 1st Ancestor at Uxbridge, Middlesex, England born 1696 to her father Isaac Gowlett [Convict] transported to Australia in 1796 to her father, Isaac Gowlett [1774-1825] Convict, transported to Australia in 1796. Generation 5: Alfred Adams married Olive Pendennis Riley in 1911 - RESTRICTED

 

John Coyne Riley married Amelia Ann Wright in 1881, Melbourne, Victoria by whom he had issue.

 

John Riley formed a relationship with Eliza Tideswell at Manchester, England c. 1847 and had issue.  They were married in Sydney in 1855 and moved to Melbourne, Victoria where they had further issue.

 

Parents of Eliza Tideswell: William Tideswell & Elizabeth [nee Hutchinson] married 1822, their life in Manchester, Lancashire, England and research into Lineages.

 

Micheal Riley married Catherine Coyne 1815 in Dublin, Ireland where they had issue.  They immigrated to England and settled in Lancashire where they continued to have issue.

Parents of Amelia Ann Riley: Thomas Wright married Fanny Ashhurst in 1851 in London where they ran the 'Trinity Arms' Inn.

 

Parents of Fanny Wright [nee Ashurst] : John Swinton Ahurst married Fanny Simpson at Brighton, Sussex, England in 1827.

 

Parents of Thomas Wright: Thomas Wright married Sarah Theodosia Atmer in 1818 at Wells next the Sea, Norfolk, England.

 

Parents of Sarah Theodosia Wright [nee Atmer]: William Atmer married Theodosia Self c.1790 Research into Lineages.

Scard in France from 1661

Earliest Scard was Convict Henry Scard arriving in 1823 sent to Hobart, Tasmania, followed by another convict, also Henry Scard from Wiltshire Assizes.  Settlement in Sydney, N.S.W. was established around 1848 when John Scard, Mariner, formerly of Gosport, Hampshire, followed by James Scard in 1857, formerly of Henstridge, Somerset and later Thomas Scard, Surgeon of the Southampton, Hampshire Lineage in mid 1860. Others followed.

Possible Ancient variant from the 1327 Lay Subsidy Roll Walter Skede. Story depicts his life and the remains of his house at Kingston Lacey based on Archaeological Evidence uncovered in the late 20th Century.
