Gardens for Wildlife

Our native wildlife is becoming increasingly adept at living in a man made environment, as natural habitat becomes scarcer, especially in urban areas.

We can help by understanding what these creatures need in terms of food and shelter.

This workshop looks at some practical ways we can enhance our gardens from a wildlife point of view.

As a practical project you can build a pond and habitat to encourage frogs.

Learn which frogs you are likely to attract.

You will also discover which species will attract the birds and native insects, where lizards like to live, and how to attract native mammals to your garden.
