ABSEILING

Experience the exhilarating and exciting thrill of abseiling while taking in the breathtaking views of the gorges at the Kalbarri National Park.

Kalbarri Backpackers recommends the services of Kalbarri Abseil, whose owner Gordon Parke has many years of experience and is a qualified abseiling instructor. Nick Chong is Kalbarri Abseil’s leading abseil instructor and is excellent with children, as well as adults, who are trying abseiling for the first time.
Age is no barrier to try this once in a lifetime opportunity in such a picturesque setting. Children of all ages and adults are all catered for. Our oldest abseiler so far was 84 years of age.

Remember to bring your camera and extra film as many excellent photographs can be taken by the guide while you are abseiling down the cliff from various angles. The scenic gorges are also well worth filming.

The little girl in the picture is Lisa Davey from Perth, Western Australia, and she is eight years of age. Her brothers Jeffrey is 12 years of age and Steven is nine years old. This is the first time they have experienced abseiling. Their mum and dad also abseilled for the first time.
