This page shows some of the land and seascapes in the immediate area of Hillgrove Farm.
For go a little further afield in the region, you might like to take a look at the
pictures on my Batavia Coast pages.

This is the beach at the rear of Hillgrove Farm. It is just after dawn,
and the sand doesn't look as white as it really is, except where the sun has reached it in
the background. |
| The beach is fairly well protected by an offshore reef, where
can see the waves breaking in the background. It gives enough protection for me to run a
couple of lobster pots in the lagoon from a little dinghy in season. I get a few lobsters
most days. |

| This is Lucy's beach, about 7-8 km north of Hillgrove Farm. It is a good
fishing spot, but is only accessible by 4WD or 2WD vehicles with a good ground clearance,
the track is very rough. |

This picture shows where the track from the farm comes on to the beach.
You can see how white the sand is in this pic, and get a better perspective of the reef. |

| This is the view from the top of the hill immediately behind our house,
looking inland. If we turned 180 degrees we would be facing the ocean. |
