83. Raymond Oswald DAWES - 1217. Born 6 Aug 1889. Died 15 May 1964.
Ray served in the A.I.F. during W.W.1, then as a carpenter he lived in Prospect S.A. before moving to Chorkerup, near Albany in W.A 1929. They later moved to THE farm "Haynesville", 16 miles from Albany, at Redmond in 1936. The farm was run as a dairy, with pigs and later on to beef. The farm was a source of some great times and memories for a lot of families. On his retirement, the farm was taken over by his daughter Edna and her husband Arther(FRED) PIKE. He remained on the farm until his death.
He married Rose Alice WARD - 1218, daughter of William WARD - 2767, 4 Nov 1917 in Malvern, STH AUST. Born 6 Mar 1890. Died 20 Apr 1951.
