These are some of the links which I found to be very useful and interesting during my travels over the past months. Hopefully some of them are what you’ve been looking for, or will make your life a little easier when tying to find that elusive Web site. If any of the links do not work or have been changed, please let me know so that I can alter them. If you have, or know of any Home Pages related to this site, please let us know so we can add a link to them here and from other relevant places throughout these pages. |

Family Links The Blackwell Family Posted by Coral Jones (nee Blackwell ) Bill Dawes Home Page Although the Family line is not the same, the name’s familiar. This is a great site with a lot of interesting information for all Dawes’s, not just from the States. A special thanks must go to Bill for allowing us the use of the Dawes family emblems and shields that are on these pages. |

Being the Senior Service , it had to go on top. There’s nothing wrong with being second . . . . Is there ? Saying nothing !! (Joking of Course!) The above sites are not only for those of us who have, or are still serving in their chosen Service to keep tabs on what’s going on, but also for those men and women young enough to be contemplating a career in one of the Services. If your not, take a look anyhow, see what your missing out on. This site has a great deal of information for the men & women, and their families who served in any of the Wars. Type in a surname in the photo section, you just may be surprised at who you find. I put in Dawes and got back roughly 40 photos to do with just that one name. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission This a brand new site, and is a must, as is the Australian War Memorial, for those researching family members who did not return from a War. I intend to set up a commemorative web page just for these family members. I need any information on ANY member who served in any of the Services |

If it's about Genealogy, on the Net and worth finding, this is where you will find it. Rather than duplicate the sites, I have left them intact as a lot of information can be got from here. Thanks Jules This is another one from Jules which I have put by itself. If your into any type of shipping in and around South Australia, including from England, you should find it here, included are some passenger lists and information on the ships our forebears arrived in. If one day you have some time on your hands, try this one. Log in, give a few particulars and receive a password, then go to the freebee section and do a few transcribes. For this you will receive 1 hours search time for each transcribe (or you can make a well needed donation). I found this to be a practical way of doing some searching that I may not have done normally if I had to reach into my pocket. Every so often I go back, do a few more, and hope that someone has transcribed what I’m looking for. Database and stories of Australians, past and present. |
