Eagles Nest

BY EDDIE SCHULZE

Summer Cup tee times have been extended from first light to whenever - as long as cards are in by 5:30pm on the day.

This will provide the maximum opportunity for participation.

Generally players are teeing off between 6am and 7am or between 2pm and 3pm, so if you don't have a playing partner, show up at those times to be guaranteed a match.

Most played in the morning last Sunday and only the last pair got caught by the 5pm thunderstorm, forcing them to abandon their match - bad luck Henry but your score wasn't going to be one you'd want to keep.

Great sound and light show though - hopefully getting rid of some of the advancing grasshopper hordes.

Winner on the day, with a great score of 24 points was Marie Wickstein, also getting nearest the pin on number 4 - so she really deserves her handicap break from 18 to 15 - so that puts 4 balls in your basket.

Second was Brad Adams, handicap break 10 to 8 (2 balls) with Peter Riley (1 ball) coming in third with 21 points on a count back from Glen Davey and a handicap break of 14 to 13.

Encouragement award (or NAGA to some) was won, or is that lost, by Craig Holland (1 ball) on a count back from Wes Daniel.

NTP on number 2 was Alastair Brown and Brad Adams (1 ball each) picked it up on number 4.

Full result details are available from the club's website - which has moved to http://www.sinfosol.com.au/lkgc/

Although now in Perth, strong support is still being given to the club by Roy and Rosalie Hamilton, who were the ball donors for the day's prizes.

The next round will be played on December 14 before a break for Christmas and New Year with the 4th round teeing off on January 4.

Don't forget the Scrounger of the Year final to be contested today (Thursday) with celebrations and presentations after 5pm.
