Here's a pic of me nearing the end of a restoration project - An "O" scale N.S.W.G.R. C38 class loco.

Welcome to my " About me " page.
######################################
This is a brief " overview " outlining a few bit & pieces from my life & some of my achievements to date.
I was born to Phil & Joyce Bradney in July 1966 where we lived in what's known as Baulkham Hills in Sydney's western suburbs & I attended Jasper road Primary school from 1972 to 1978 then went onto Model Farms High school from 1979 to 1982 ; Our family moved to Perth in the early part of 1984 where I still live now.
I began my railway modelling back in my " Baulko " days when I was given my 1st model railway trainset ( a Hornby starter set ) for my 7th Birthday , then for my 8th Birthday I was given a " Lima " trainset ( N.S.W 44 class loco with "2" I.P. carriages ) which began a " Life time " of railway modelling.
In 1980 , I began modelling in "N" scale as I found that I could get so much more into the same amount of space as I could in the "HO" scale & I was influenced by A.M.R.A. (N.S.W.) with their small collection of N.S.W. "N" scale trains running around their layout at one of Sydney'smany model railway exhibitions.
I Began scratch building my 1st loco (N.S.W. AD60 class) in the "HO" scale back in 1982 , then went onto scratch building an "N" scale rail motor in 1984 & I've progressed from there.
To this day I've built 5 "Garrett" loco's ( 3 in "HO" & 2 in "N" scale) & have assisted with building another one in "G" scale , I intend to continue building more locos in the future be they ordinary type or "Garrett" type.
In 1997 I've also ventured into 7 1/4 inch scale modelling with MY little creation known as "Bumble Bee" which is a "Pedal Powered - 10 speed" loco with a Forward & reverse gear box & fitted with "4 wheel" brakes ( you can see some photos of it in my "Other Projects" page plus more pics of it in my "Photo Gallery" page - just click on the signal pic ) ; I've also built a pair of 7 1/4 inch bogies for a carriage that I'd bought which was just a "Flat wagon" when I got it.

Above: This is my 1st attempt at doing an "N" scale 60 class garrett using 2 german tank locos & modifing them into (2) 2-6-0 type units with intentions of making them into a pair of 4-8-4's while Below you can see the same 2 units now being used under my W.A. "MSA" class loco as seen below.
One of my "Garrett" locos that I've built ; This one represents an MSA class loco of the W.A.G.R. ( note the "drive shaft" that I've had to place from the Front tank to the Smokebox door )
