Welcome to my "Layout" page , The layout featured here is just 1 of many that I've either built or had a hand in building , This one is made up of 3 sections each measuring 4ft by 1ft to make a total lenght of 12ft long by 1ft wide & is designed to replace an extising "Book Shelf".
I built this layout for the 2005 A.M.R.A. W.A. model railway exhibition to demonstrate that a layout can be built in a home that would otherwise have been judged as to have "no space for a train set" & to show how the scenery was done from the planning stage up to the completed stage ; Some of the pics in my "N.S.W.G.R" page & "W.A.G.R." pages were photographed on these modules & referred to as "Photographic Modules" as the original idea was to make up 3 individual modules for the purpose of taking "pics" of my many model locos on them , This concept led to a layout being developed as a "Dual Purpose" idea for taking photos on & playing trains on.
To see the pics in my "N.S.W.G.R." & "W.A.G.R" pages just follow the links at the bottom of this page .
In these few pics you'll see the layout in it's 1st stages , Although mainly a "single" track it gives me somewhere to play trains.
This 2nd view shows the layout from the Left hand end ( like the pic above ) , The track that goes to the back of the layout is a "Hidden Track" that doesn't get seen when all completed.
And here is another view as seen from the other end.
The White wall bracket & arm that you can see here behind the layout is what will support the entire layout on the wall sections.
In this view - You can see how the scenery has begun to take shape with a Bridge as the main feature.
From this view you can see how the wall brackets & arms support the layout & it's upper shelving which houses the 12 volt lighting.
And lastly ( for now ) - All lit up & ready for it's scenery to begin!
