Welcome to my Northern Districts Model Engineers page , As of June 2007 I've begun hosting the N.D.M.E.S. website for them , I've included a few pics that I've taken on some of my visits to some of their "Run Days" , I have also had the privledge to drive a loco around their circut which was a terrific time for me ; I will (some day ) be able to build something in the 5" scale but will for now just stick with my current 7 1/4" items plus my other items in N , Nn3 1/2 , HO & garden scales that take up a lot of my time too.
For now this page has been the temporary "Front" for the N.D.M.E.S website until I could get a new N.D.M.E.S. website up & running which you can now see by using the link at the bottom of this page.

This is their Main station.
This track plan shows the existing "raised" 5" scale & 3 1/2" scale track , plus the proposed 5" & 7 1/4" ground level track which is still under construction ; The steaming bays are at the right hand end of this pic & the long curved tunnel is to the lower left hand corner of this plan with the railway overbridge in the middle ( near the bottom ) & crossing over the lower tracks that come out of the tunnel.

Here is a 5" scale N.S.W.G.R. C38 class loco in the steaming bays before the days run ( note there's a extended funnel on this loco at this stage in order to help with steaming up only ).
In this pic , Steve Reeves takes a test drive of a members 5" scale C38 class loco.
Here is the entrance to their tunnel ; The path on the right is for the ground level 5" & 7 1/4" scale tracks which they hope to have located as soon as they can.
This is their BBQ/picnic grounds with the station in the background.
